Protech Power is now Protech Power International

To better reflect the company's position in the market, we have changed our name.

Protech Power has already completed contracts in Angola, Brazil, Vietnam, Korea, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Fiji.

Moving forward as Protech Power International we will be actively seeking work in the Pacific Region, offering service and quality beyond expectations.

Canadian Solar

Protech Power International responded to an urgent request from a customer to re-install underground cables at a major solar installation in Normanton, Queensland.

From receipt of the customer's purchase order this project was delivered in a three week period.

During commissioning it was discovered that cabling had been incorrectly installed by other contractors in the construction stage. Protech Power International's first challenge was to locate and purchase a very specific type of cable.

Protech Power International staff quickly mobilised to site and carefully excavated many metres of trenching to expose the existing cables, which were installed in common trenches amongst other services such as fibre optic cables.

All excavation work was completed without any damage to other services. The cables that had been incorrectly installed were disconnected and removed, the new cabling was then expertly installed, and terminated to the required specifications.

After many hours of digging by hand and terminating 120 high voltage connections in extremely hot conditions the work was completed. Shortly after the completion of the cabling works, the solar farm was connected to the local authority's infrastructure and began operating.

Protech Power International workers also had the added enjoyment of a special visit from local MPs Bob Katter and his son Robbie during our works.
